El Rio Golf CourseEl Rio dates back to the 1930’s and was the original site of the PGA’s Tucson Open. The course was operated as a country club until 1968 when the City of Tucson acquired it for public use. The course layout features tight fairways, small greens, relatively flat terrain, two lakes, and many trees. El Rio’s layout is over 6,400 yards from the back tees, and nearly 5,400 from the fronts. 1Pre-Booked Rate - Includes cart, for reservations made 8 to 120 days in advance, when and where the Premium Rate does not apply. 2Premium Rate - Includes cart, for reservations made 8 to 120 days in advance, for play January – April 15, on Randolph and Dell Urich. 3Suntan Rate - NO RESERVATIONS, effective Noon – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday (except holidays), April 16 – November 30. 4Junior Rate - Available any time when the junior golfer is playing with a parent or legal guardian. Otherwise, only on a space-available basis. 5Tucson City Golf Employee Rate - NO RESERVATIONS, is only available when no other golfer is on the "Walk-On" List.
