Aeration season is here, and it’s one of the most important maintenance practices we do to keep our courses healthy and playing their best.
Aeration clears harmful gases from the soil and improves air flow, which strengthens turf health and playability. It also relieves compaction, improves water movement, and supports stronger root systems — all essential for keeping greens smooth, firm, and consistent as Tucson heads into its hottest stretch. Because this work requires recovery time, each course will close briefly for one day during its scheduled date in June.
As a thank‑you for your patience, golfers will receive a $5 discount on greens fees for one week following aeration at each course. The discount is applied at check‑in.

Back-9 To 5’ers Breakfast at Randolph Golf Complex
Back‑9 Breakfast at Randolph is our new 9-and-dine special for early risers who want to get a quick 9 holes in with a fast, fresh bite before the day kicks in. Beginning on Friday, June 5th, and available on Wednesday and Friday mornings throughout the summer, during the same window as our 6:15–7:05 AM Back-9 tee times.
For $34 + tax for City Card holders and $40 + tax for non‑City Card holders, you can get 9 holes riding with any of the above choices.
El Rio’s June Special
Every Monday & Tuesday in June, El Rio is serving up a simple, summer-friendly duo of $5 Margaritas and $5 Chimis or Taquitos. This is a perfect post-round combo for warm Tucson afternoons.

The Tucson Golf Program is Tucson City Golf’s player‑development hub. Our PGA of America Professionals help golfers of all ages learn the game, build confidence, and strengthen fundamentals. This month, we’re entering All-Star season for PGA Jr. League — fielding one 13U team and one 17U team, each with eight players competing. Randolph Golf Complex will host five All‑Star Play Days plus the Section Qualifier, making it a busy and exciting stretch for our junior competitors.
New Practice Club Offering
Practice Club is new, one-hour coach‑supported practice time designed for junior and adult golfers who want structure, feedback, and consistency without committing to a full lesson or class. Each practice focuses on purposeful practice, guided drills, and skill‑building routines that help players make real progress over time. - Operation 36: This class provides golfers a fun, structured way for adults to learn the game or sharpen their fundamentals. Each 4‑week session includes weekly group instruction, on‑course Play Days, and progress tracking through the Operation 36 app. Golfers move through milestones at their own pace, building confidence step by step. - PGA Summer Camps: These camps are a perfect introduction to golf for every young player. All camps follow the same six 3‑day sessions from June 3 through July 24, and families can choose between two age‑specific options.
- Half‑Day Camps for ages 9–17 (7:30–11:30 a.m.) offer a supportive, confidence‑building environment with a 1:4 coach‑to‑player ratio and dedicated on‑course play.
- First Swing Morning Camps for ages 5–9 (7:30–9:00 a.m.) provide age‑appropriate instruction, fun games, and a welcoming introduction to the sport.
